WAYSIDES at the Kohler Arts Center
April 3–October 2
WAYSIDES features works of art inspired by the idea, whether literal or metaphorical, of Wisconsin waysides. As this vibrant selection demonstrates, those common rest stops seen throughout the Wisconsin landscape can take many forms, from natural wonders to cityscapes, from unexpected roadside attractions to daily sightings on the commute to work. They are sites of memory and regional identity, personal experience, and everyday life. Open to all artists who describe Wisconsin as ”home,” this call-for-entries exhibition drew responses from artists throughout the state and as far away as California and North Carolina.
