I am back from Hungary and recovering, organizing and preparing for upcoming life changes!

I am currently working on moving out of my studio at Arizona State University and moving into my new home studio.  I will also have a studio space at the Mesa Arts Center because I was offered and accepted the year long Artist-in-Residence position. 

I will also be teaching two classes at the Mesa Arts Center and one class at Arizona State University starting at the end of August- I am very anxious and  super excited for these new adventures.

Upcoming and Current Exhibitions
*2013 NCECA and Arvada Center “Earth Moves: Shifts in Ceramic Art and Design” National Exhibition. 
     The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will host the 2013 “Earth Moves: Shifts in Ceramic Art and Design” National Exhibition from September 12 – November 10, 2013.
     NCECA and the Arvada Center organized a blended invitational and competitive ceramic exhibition for artists from the United States. This format brings established reputations and emerging talent to bear on the selected theme and adds vitality and fresh perspectives to an ongoing dialogue.
     There were 73 pieces accepted of the more than 412 pieces submitted for review.  The exhibition was curated and organized by NCECA Exhibitions Director, Linda Ganstrom; the Arvada Center’s Ceramics Program Coordinator, Bebe Alexander; and the Arvada Center’s Exhibition Manager and Curator, Collin Parson.

*Workhouse Arts Center 3rd Annual Clay National 2013 in Lorton, VA.  The exhibition is from July 13 - September 8, 2013...so if you are in or around Lorton, VA please check out the show!
     This 3rd Annual Workhouse Clay National Ceramics Exhibition was an “Open Call” for functional and/or sculptural ceramic artworks. The Workhouse Arts Center is excited to continue promoting the breadth of contemporary ceramic artwork being created throughout the USA.      
     The level of competition was extremely strong this year for our third annual exhibition, with over 690 entries of functional and sculptural artwork, our juror Virginia Scotchie, had a large task at hand.
     Virginia Scotchie is a ceramic artist and area head of ceramics at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She holds a B.F.A. in ceramics from UNC-Chapel Hill and in 1985 completed her Master of Fine Arts at Alfred University in New York. 

*The Marge Brown Kalodner Graduate Student Exhibition at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA from July 19 through August 25th, 2013.  So if you are in Philadelphia or surrounding area please swing in and see the exhibtion!   
     Over the past ten years, this exhibition has awarded $15,000 to 30 emerging artists. It has showcased the work of over 150 recent MFA graduates, the majority of whom have participated in additional exhibitions at The Clay Studio. Fourteen participants have gone on to become Clay Studio Resident Artists, two as Shapiro Fellows. This exhibition serves to identify the best emerging ceramic artists as well as to provide support and affirmation to artists just beginning their journey.
